Rev1 Voice

Rev1 Voice is made by Rev1 Digital LLC, 2901 Auburn Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326, USA ("Rev1 Digital," "we," "us"). This policy covers the Rev1 Voice app for Android, the Rev1 Voice app for Windows, and the Rev1 Voice service at api.rev1digital.com. Questions: support@rev1digital.com.
Rev1 Voice cleans up text you dictate. On Android it works with your keyboard's voice typing (for example Gboard): when you dictate into a text field, it fixes punctuation, filler words and recognition errors, and puts the cleaned text back in the same field. On Windows you hold a hotkey, speak, and the cleaned text is typed into the app you are using.
The Android app uses Android's AccessibilityService API. This is required for its core feature: it is how the app sees the text you dictate into other apps and replaces it with the cleaned version. The app asks for your consent, with this explanation, before you turn the service on.
Rev1 Smart List. When you build a Smart List, the topics you pick (for example "Real estate" or a description of your work) are sent to create the word list, and the list is saved to your account. If you turn on "Help improve the topic list", the names of topics you type that are not in the built-in list are counted, without your account or any other information about you, so more topics get ready-made lists.
The app keeps a diagnostics log on your device to help fix problems. It stays on your device unless you choose to share it with us, and it records dictated text only if you turn that option on in the app.
With the built-in Rev1 AI, cleanup is done by Google's Gemini API on our behalf. Google processes the text or audio to return the result and, under its paid API terms, does not use it to train its models. If you choose to use your own API key for another AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google), your dictated text goes directly from your device to that provider under its terms, and not through our servers.
We host the Rev1 Voice service on servers in the United States. We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone except the processors above as needed to provide the service.
You can turn the accessibility service off at any time in Android settings, sign out, or remove words from your vocabulary in the app. To delete your account and the data tied to it, follow the steps on our account deletion page. You can also ask for a copy of your data or a correction at support@rev1digital.com.
All traffic between the app and our service is encrypted (HTTPS). Session tokens are stored hashed on our servers. API keys you enter for your own AI provider are encrypted on your device and never sent to us.
Rev1 Voice is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect.
